You can also access this page from our quick menu, which is floating on the left side of the forum.
Point Accumulation
You can accumulate points by:
1) Making new threads and by replying in existing posts*.
Post a reply - +4 GoldAge Points (=$0.04 in Liberty Reserve)
New thread - +2 GoldAge Points (=$0.02 in Liberty Reserve)
Refer a user - +5 GoldAge Points (=$0.05 in Liberty Reserve)
You must have at least 10 reputation points to receive points for posting. You can check if you can earn points here.
* Not all forum folders award members points. You can see which folders pay by checking the T and the P values near the forum name.
2) Getting extra points for writing great and interesting posts and threads**. When you write good posts, other members (Full Members) will mark your post as a recommended post through the Reputation System.
This will give you an extra +10 GoldAge Points and an additional +1 Reputation Point.
Although all members can give reputation, only full members can add or remove points and reputation.
Warning!
1. Please note, negative reputation for spam posts, useless posts, "thank you" posts might lower your points! We created this feature to punish spammers and award hard working members of our community. Spammers should not get points for the spam they post on our forum! Less spam means great forum and more points for our loyal members.
2. Point building with excessive reputation will result in immediate ban.
** You cannot give reputation in International Folders, Off-Topic, I'm looking for and I'm offering.

You gain referrals by promoting GoldAge Forums using your unique referral link. You can find your link here.

We allow members to withdraw their points to Liberty Reserve or e-gold. Here are the rates:
1000 points = $10 in Liberty Reserve
1000 points = $5 in e-gold
Minimum withdrawal amount is 1000 points.

Is this point system the vbplaza point system that is mentioned in some old threads?
No, it is not. VBplaza system will be closed. This is a new and secure system.
What would happen to our points in the old vplaza and in the bank?
Those points were transfered to the new system. Not one point was lost. You will get what you have earned.
Can we still buy items in vbplaza?
No. We tried to combine the new point system with vbplaza, but it would compromise the security of the new point system.
Where is the bank option that pays interest on our points?
We will introduce the bank feature when it is finished.
